calm before the crazy
My Thanksgiving day and the 3 days after were perfect. What about yours? Our little holiday was low-key and low stress. My dad had a relaxing visit and the weather was pretty nice.
I took advantage of the calm and quiet to play with yarn that needed a purpose. I figured that the simple act of winding it would help generate some ideas. Can you resist the McTaggart Tweedy goodness?
And then I worked out my Christmas knitting list and realized that my original list of two things to knit grew to eight without my realizing it. Huh. I put in some time on the first of many gifts to be novamade this holiday gift-giving season.
Let the crazy begin.

That pile of "McTaggart Tweedy goodness" is sending me right over to Beaverslide. I just too weak before I've had my morning brew.
Good luck with all of that holiday knitting!

Indeed, the holiday crazy has begun. I think the gift knitting that remains is minimal (whew) but still so many things to get done before the holidays are here. :) Glad that you enjoyed some calm - the tweed is beautiful!

Looks like you're off to a good start with your holiday knitting. The Beaverslide is gorgeous-I think I need to get some tweed from my stash on the needles soon.

How do I get on THAT list? :~P
Alternatively, I have one knitted item on my holiday list... would you like to make your to-knit list nine items long? Sh
I can't believe Little Sir's wallaby still fits -- awesome! Wonderful pics... I miss the seasons in NE.

This past weekend was definitely the calm before the crazy for me too. I worked on one gift, but I'm waiting for materials for the real rush. Once they get here I'll really have a ball. Ha!

Eight things? In a month? Definitely crazy.
What will that beautiful wound yarn become? It is gorgeous. I love how well it matches the leaves in the photo above it.

I love how that yarn cake picture corresponds to the fall picture above it. Maybe you could make a EZ Bohus like whitknits is doing?
Good luck with your Christmas knitting! My list has grown too...
