handspun and woven scarf
Pattern: Plain weave, pattern designed by moi. I alternated warp yarns in chunks of Raisin (purple) and Sterling (silver) and used lilac handspun yarn for the weft (weaving).
Final Measurement: (Without fringe) 10" x 59"
Materials/Yarn: Knit Picks Glass Lace in Raisin and Sterling (less than 1 skein of each) for the warp; and 4 ounces of wool (purchased from Handspun by Stefania) that I spun on my wheel for the weft. I call the color lilac, but Stefania calls it Purple Swirl.
Thoughts: This scarf was woven on a Kromski Harp rigid heddle loom. It was an easy weave. I would have liked it better if I could have used a darker purple for the weft; but, that's okay. You live, you learn.
