What an incredible find! There's nothing better than vintage knitting needles...the lovely colors and shapes and the sense of connection you feel to all those knitters from way back when.

You are speaking my language with this post. For the 99% of boring stuff you find on the shelves, it's that 1% of treasures that makes it worthwhile.

Maybe you should make a needle chart like the one Andrea has (she let me borrow the code for my own, she's nice like that). Look at it here:

I'm with you on finding treasures in the attic. If only all accessions could contain knitting items - that would make my day-to-day work a bit more joyful!
